Lets hope The Lost Tales arent't as camp as the last movie whos name i dare not mention lol

What, no punching and kicking to shoot the ship's guns? But how will we know the tactical officer is awesome?

I dunno maybe they will have to make up haiku poems on the spot to direct weapons fire....

To be honest the "idea" of punching and kicking to target and fire weapons systems is fairly good, its just that its an idea that will only really work on paper and not on the screen.

This is obviously some new definition of "good", of which I wasn't previously aware!

I can't remember what books I have read it in before, but it has been used at least a couple of times that I am aware of and works well in novels. As I said it DID NOT carry over well onto the screen where it just looked rather naff to say the least.

Actually didn't Andromeda do something similar, I only ever saw a couple of episodes of it but I am sure they did... or used lots of wavy arm stuff.

No, not Andromeda. It was Earth: Final Conflict (Which originally aired after Andromeda I believe). And in that it actually was well done.

Nods I remember E:FC using it, although that was after I stopped watching it, they did the whole swishy hands things for dealing with computers. Actually so have Minority Report and a few other sci fi movies. OK its not kick boxing in a zero-g sphere but it is somewhat similar, and a lot better done.

The talons did the whole swishy hand thing even when they talked to people

being able to point at a hologram or touch it with your finger to fire at it is one thing but having to actually hit harder to do more damage is where it just got silly in crusade. Basically holographic tageting good idea but making the gunner actually FIGHT is where it gets stupid.

Now that answer is just so "Hitchhiker's Guide-ish".
