Supplement Four
Mongoose
The majority of the Hyborian Adventure that PC's face are local in nature. Even the adventures with epic scope rarely include in that scope the entire known world.
I starting thinking...what about a massive, super epic, adventure that would rock the entire foundations of the nations of the Hyborian Age at the same time?
What if...
What if you took the original Dragonlance epic set of 12 adventures and greatly modified them to fit in the Hyborian Age.
The Draconians, of course, are throw backs to the time before the human migrations--the lizard folk that enslaved the Lemurians.
The threat has to come, birthed from Stygia. All the Dragonlords and whatnot will be Stygians.
Throw out all the demi-humans and humanoids. Each can represent a different people of the Hyborian Age. Maybe Orgres become Vanir Raiders. Dwarves become Gundermen Pikemen. Elves become Bossonian Archers. Kender become Zamorian thieves. Whatever.
Take the basic plot, adapt that to Conan's time. Transplant adventure locations to Conan's world where they make the most sense. Fistandauntilus' Tower becomes the lost tower of an ancient Acheronian Necromancer.
The Knights of Solominia become Aquilonian Black Dragons.
Fix the game as needed. Let it be epic and take the PCs all over the Hyborian lands and beyond.
Lot of work? Sure. But, take it one adventure module at a time. It probably won't hurt as much as you think it would.
Just an idea.
