Combined Fleets of the Non-Aligned Worlds and pak'ma'ra

Hi,
I was trying to organize a Combined Fleet of the Non-Aligned Worlds when I discovered a strange thing: it seems pak'ma'ra have been forgotten while listing 'working' special rules for ships (Redundant Systems, Plasma Web, Gentle Beings, Scavengers, Simple Traders). I could understand Scavengers and Simple Traders, but other rules seem to be built-in into the pak'ma'ra ships themselves. Not isting them was on purpose or by mistake?

you are kind of answering your own question there, if it's part of the ships it still works, just apply common sense :-)

They're not listed on the ships because they apply to all pak ships, and they're not a loosable trait? (compared to, say, interceptors)

They are listed in special rules section of the fleet so they are fleets special rules not traits. And the fleetbook states:

Only the following fleet special rules are used and then only if at least one ship from the relevant fleet list is included in the Allied fleet: Comms Disruptors, Aggression (Drazi ships only), Sky Hook Catapult, Drones (Gaim fi ghters only), Assault Drones (Gaim ships only), Telepathy (Vree ships only), and Super Manoeuvrability (Vree ships only).

It is clear for me from the statment that pak'ma'ra special rules are NOT used.

Well, um, if thats the way you see it why ask? to be honest, seriously, common sense says things like redundancy are on the ship, and stay on the ship!, they aren't traits because it cannot be lost. I seem to recall possible someone asking this before, is it in the rulesmasters thread, really just sounds like a case of cut and paste from 1st ed, when pak wern't in the main rulebook, so it got missed.

**edit** ok, can't find it on rulesmaster, Burger asked a similar thing about gaim, eg must have a Queen, but got no response.

I could swear that I did finally see a response to that somewhere, and that the answer was no you don't need a queen in a mixed fleet, but I can't find it now :(
