Character spreadsheets - which tool?

If you were to use a spreadsheet for character creation, what kind of spreadsheet would you prefer to use? Do you have strong feelings about online vs offline spreadsheets?

I voted Excel, purely because that is what I use most on my pc, and because this can be used away from internet connections too.

ODF because it's free! I don't want to have to buy a copy of MS Orifice just to create a character...
