Central Supply Catalogue

I just got my copy of Central Supply Catalogue yesterday. I have to say that this will be a heavily used book! I am really happy with having TAC Missiles available; that was a weapon system I felt was missing from Mercenary.

One issue I have that can probably be resolved with an errata, or include it in Military Vehicles, is that the Tech Levels of the various warhead types seems to have been omitted. It's great to have the effects of a directed plasma warhead, but will a TL 10 army have it?

Looks like an errata fix to me too. I find that overall this module especially the weapons to be very cool and I like the fact that all this handy information is hardbound too. The nice artwork is a big plus too.

Overall, the Central Supply Catalog should work just fine and is quite good - not a perfect Traveller module, but quite good! Nice work!

Sadly, errata with a first printing of any module will happen.

Some first printings have LOTS of errata. Others less.

Does anyone have an idea when the book gets to Fan Boy 3 in Manchester? I got Agent yesterday from there, but they had no idea. The book did not appear in the list of this week's orders.

Yeah needs a bit of Erratta, but otherwise, GREAT book. Fills a lot of holes. Besides, Stuff = Cool.

I just picked up CSC last night before my regular game. Didn't have much time to peruse it myself as the group was at a TL 14 space station with lots of credits burning holes in their pockets. The book got passed around a lot.

I am curious on one of the rules in the front of the book. It is in the weapons permits categories explanations. Page 21 prohibited items lists Starship-grade meson guns and particle accelerators as prohibited items. That would make them illegal for anyone outside of the military to possess correct? Was this mentioned in any of the new Mongoose Traveller books before this? I ask, mainly, because my players have already had particle accelerator weapons on their ships for some time now. Unless Particle beam turrets and Particle accelerators aren't the same thing?

I was in FB3 this afternoon, and got myself a copy of CSC at long last.

And I think I'll have a good long look at CSC tonight, before resuming The Great Work. There are some things I will need to make notes about, in particular the gorgeously - detailed chapter at the beginning discussing everything about technology, including topics such as reverse engineering and prototypes.

No, I don't have CSC; that's waiting until Sept./Oct. for me.
