Can we have Empires & Thief's Comp.?? I will buy them.

Can we have Empires & Thief's Comp.??
I will buy them both.
Even if you do not want to "risk" printing them I would like to buy them even as PDFs...
And frankly I do not think I will be the only one...
As far as we know those books were ready in July....before the tragic "super-secret-project" affair begun...
Having "Empires" after all these year of waiting would be, at least, a decent end of this line.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
...nothing from this first, January 2010 S&P.....
...The piercing stuff definitevely does not come from Empires and the Thief's Companion....
...I hope to see more in the next issues...although I suspect that you will cut anyway a lot of those two books....
I would still prefer to PAY but get the whole thing (especially Empires), even if it is only an unfinished pdf document...

NO EMPIRES OR THIEF's COMPANION EVEN THIS MONTH (S&P February 2010, no. 77)!!!!!!!!!

Since we have only another 10 months this year (and S&P is not dedicated just to Conan) I feel you will NEVER publish all that material in S&P.

PLEASE, do not give me a few parts of Empires and Thief's C. for fre.... but make all of them as two complete PDFs and I WILL BUY THEM!!!

You know, I'm gonna get on the bandwagon here with LucaCherstich. I will gladly pay for Empires and the Thief's Companion should you fine folks at Mongoose HQ decide to go the PDF route. :D

Alternatively, I'd be very happy to have the complete text of both of these supplements made available through "Signs & Portents". :D

However, please, please, do not release portions, excerpts or select chapters instead of giving us rabid Conan fans the whole shebang. That would make me cry.

...and if we consider that these products should be the sad end of the glorious Mongoose Conan line (which is the only reason why I bought Mongoose products) ... and if their texts are complete (they were ready to be published in August 09)... having just a few bits of them published on few pages of a few S&P issues would be a real tragedy for me!
Please publish them, at least as pdfs! Even without figures!

Screw that, I wont buy them!
I'm gonna wait for the material to appear free on S&P.
Why???
Because S&P is free.
Mongoose needs web traffic and DLs.
No need to pay for when it will enventually become free.
Mongoose knows that a lot of Conan players are crossing over into other genres provided by MGP so they are perfectly correct to put in an article or two to have the players to contiunue their goodwill and purchasing power to MGP's products.

SO...
I will not purchase any conan stuff, but will be delighted to read it for FREE on S&P as I continue to expand my RQ2 collection.

I'm not, and i do not think I'm the only one.
And, in any case, the only result you will have with the "S&P policy" is to have small bits of those 2 books published in a few articles this year......while the main stuff (fluff and crunch) will remain unpublished.
License will end soon, 2010 is not very long, and nothing from the 2 books appeared in any of the 2 issues thus far (Jan-Feb).
We have only 10 months...or maybe less than that...
Furthermore, they cannot dedicate a full issue of S&P just to Conan...so, if mathematics is not wrong, we will never get the whole 2 books for free.
I want to pay and I want to have those 2 books in their complete wholeness, at least as PDFs.
This is definitively possible: if these 2 books were "ready" in August they are still ready to be given as full PDFs.
Otherwise, if they are not ready yet, this only means that Mongoose website was gave false news last summer.

Another player here who discovered MGP through Conan and has no interest what so ever in crossing genres. I was so excited about the first edition I collected all the print S&P issues for a 1 or 3 page article.
That was allot of money for an article, and it was in no way anything more than scraps. The only way to do those credit is PDF. Or to do them at all. No opening for an argument- there isn't one.
And I believe if there was going to BE a PDF release we would have heard by now. Mongoose is RQ and Traveler now. They have their players to take care of, and that's not us.
We had a glorious run though didn't we?

I have been waiting for Empires for too long... just having a few poor bits would be miserable.
I want the whole thing, the great end of a great rpg line.

Sadly, no. I'm still purchasing Conan books that I don't have. Aside from that, my gaming dollar goes towards Pathfinder, FantasyCraft, and Spycraft and the occasional GURPS book. So aside from Crafty-Games Flaming Cobra books, I'm not looking at MGPs games.

Traveller while I dug it, never caught on with my players and honestly, adapting Spycraft and d20 Modern stuff scratches that itch these days.

As for RuneQuest, given the mixed opinions on mechanics stated on these boards I decided against it. With a 2nd edition already in the works, I'm not inspired to buy either edition.

Conan does what I need for S&S and remains my go-to fantasy RPG. I can appreciate the conundrum Mongoose has, but crossing into other MGP genres/RPG lines? It just isn't going to happen, at least not anytime soon (i.e. 1-3 years).
