Can somone explaine fighter supporting ships (B5 ACTA 2nded)

Specifically:

Can the fighter leave the ships base at any point? (apart from if the ship moves more than the fighter speed)

if so when?

What happens

what happens if the ship is hit in the blast of an E-mine

What happens if the ship is destroyed with this fighters on it

all in all fighters supporting ships is giving us a headache!

Yes. Simply leave the fighters behind when the ship moves, then move the fighters in the fighter movement phase.

If the fighters are caught in the blast radius, they will be hit as normal.

The fighters survive.

Fighters supporting a ship are essentially just fighters place on a ship's base.
The rules remain essentially the same (apart from the support they provide).

Or, if you've already moved the ship with the fighters still on the base and then decide you want to detach the fighters, I believe you can then move them with what remains of the fighters' move. For example, a flight of Aurora Starfuries sitting on the base of a Hyperion which has just moved its standard 8" can then detach and move a further 6". (You might have moved your ship, then the other player moves his fighters before you and you decide your Auroras have better things to do than stick to the Hyperion.)
