Campaign on Vassal

dose the details matter, the game was good a dam good idea but now its all to personl, you both have to get some sort of a last word in.

so if you are going to have your battle have it if not shut up and drop the hole subject that is not ment in any way personal and it dose go for my ally as well.

so bring on turn three and lets have a new start

4 was the most hits i got from one beam. i'm personally against the alliances being able to lend ships anyway to make up for your own shortcomings in battle or ship choices. might as well just divide the sides down the centre and have a 1v1 campaign where you an use upto 3 fleets each to choose 30 battle points from. not my fault you guys dont know how to pick fleets or even use them

and as for luck, apart from the dargan you had no weapons in any arc except forwards against whitestars? i mean come on, the min you lost the dargan that game was lost for you, trying to fight whitestars with forward guns only and tissue paper ships. you needed luck just to win that game, on averages you still would have lost due to being unable to get me in arc 66% of the time.

Find me a Centauri ship with significant armament outside its front arc and I'll use it.

If you don't alliances in campaigns why have you got two allies of your own?

Your roling was well aove average every time you rolled. Multiple hits from 1AD beams, two or three criticals from four or five hits, four or five hits from four or five AD weapons. With those rolls I could have five war points instead of skirmish points and still lost.

How about the Altarian? It has range 15 Aft arc Matter Cannons 4 AD, and 6AD of TL. That's significant firepower. It's hull 6 and can take decent damage. While it only has 1/45, with a come about, you should be able to get something in either your front or aft arc.

How about the Altarian? It has range 15 Aft arc Matter Cannons 4 AD, and 6AD of TL. That's significant firepower. It's hull 6 and can take decent damage. While it only has 1/45, with a come about, you should be able to get something in either your front or aft arc.

Thanks for the tip, but I don't have any Altarians on my fleet roster. Nor do I have enough RR to buy any.

With my dice rolling I can't rely on CQ checks. I failed a 3+ CQ roll the other day for Scramble, Scramble. Needing a 5+ for a Come About isn't all that likely. Plus, the Altarian has reasonable rear arc weapons but nothing significant to the sides. Given the turning stats of a White Star I can't see avoiding the front and back being a major problem.

Either have your dice blessed, or crush one of them as an example. With a sucessful come about, you should be able to get at least one in arc. You can also look at the Dargan. 2/45 turns and 8AD of TL all around. Plus if you are using Armageddon rules, the Dargan comes with 2 flights of sentris

The Dargan had two fighter flights in SFoS. It doesn't change in Armageddon. In fact I had a Dargan in the battle in question. It was destroyed by two shots. White Stars' improved nuetron lasers blew it out of the sky.

And when i had help from the centauri against jay you said nothing untill i let it out i was lending some sherlins and that at war level you only get 3 whitestars so you would be the under dog,
thats when you started really making a stink about lending ships, so you ended up getting what you wonted now you dont go against sherlins now you get 4 whitestars instead of 3 every think has to be your way

you think i am a bad sportsman and refuse to play me? i am not the one whose been insulting people. i really dont know what your problem with me is bob. and as for the reroll, i had it done because LDTD did that to me the previous round, and i hadnt had the chance to use my PL mod the same as LDTD hadnt the previous round. the centauri should never have had the upper hand, they could pt out a max 3 war points, i was fine with that cos that was about even. after all its only at war level that i get screwed for only having raid ships. 8 batle points i get and equal number of ships to LDTD, 16 raid points, the ships stay the same, 32 skirmish points the shiups stay the same.
the only one really kicking up a fuss now bob is you cos you know on equal footing which the points now are that your sharlins will more than likely die.

If you can beat his initiative, or out-sink him, with a 1/45 turn you can always get any target into either your F or A arc.

Sitting there telling me you're a better player than me, that I can't pick a fleet or use it to save my life, and then going on to say that Bob is welcome to fight you any time but he'll never win no matter what he tries is pretty arrogant. But of course, you're not arrogant, you're not a bad sport and anyone annoyed at you is behaving irrationally, so what does any of that matter?

not sayign bob cant beat me either, just at the moment having sharlins doesnt work so well in his favour. not a bad sport, dont mind losing, dont mind winning, just like to play and have fun. the prob with you thinking i am posting veiled insults is that maybe i am not, maybe i am not implying anything, you dont know cos you dont know in what way i am saying things, thats the problem with typed text over someone speaking to you. however calling someone an arrogant prick is pretty direct and can only be taken one way.
have never said i am better than you, outside the campaign you have beat me more times than i have beat you in one offs, and i think we had some pretty good games. and never said you couldnt pick a fleet or use it either. said that the fleet you chose against me was wrong that time and once the dargan was dead you couldnt feasibly win which actually got agreed with by one person.

got nothing to settle burger, dont get workd up over a game, just dont partularly like insults for no reason i am more than willing to carry on with the campaign and have some fun but i will defend myself if people keep accusing me of stuff with no proof whatsoever.
