Campaign on Vassal

not really, just with having max raid ships war doesnt suit me, but either way no matter what happens the centauri and minbari will not be in a position to stay in tha campaign very long after i have done with this game. even if i lose all my ships i still have 10 whitestars left and then mr bonehead, expect a visit at your planet now i know where you are ;)

Katadder's awfully cocky about this. Don't fret, though, I won't be out of the game if I lose this battle, and if I do it's down to bad dice rolls for me and ridiculously good ones for you. Six hits from a 1AD beam? It shouldn't be possible. You won through sheer jam last time.

4 was the most hits i got from one beam. i'm personally against the alliances being able to lend ships anyway to make up for your own shortcomings in battle or ship choices. might as well just divide the sides down the centre and have a 1v1 campaign where you an use upto 3 fleets each to choose 30 battle points from. not my fault you guys dont know how to pick fleets or even use them ;)

and as for luck, apart from the dargan you had no weapons in any arc except forwards against whitestars? i mean come on, the min you lost the dargan that game was lost for you, trying to fight whitestars with forward guns only and tissue paper ships. you needed luck just to win that game, on averages you still would have lost due to being unable to get me in arc 66% of the time.

From the sounds of it, you're absolutely right.

I think allowing allies to provide a ship(s) is exciting and helps the drama 8)

Perhaps a limit on lending of ships in the future? Only 1 PT?

The new mod should be ready in a few days.

Find me a Centauri ship with significant armament outside its front arc and I'll use it.

If you don't alliances in campaigns why have you got two allies of your own?

Your roling was well aove average every time you rolled. Multiple hits from 1AD beams, two or three criticals from four or five hits, four or five hits from four or five AD weapons. With those rolls I could have five war points instead of skirmish points and still lost.

well i to have to side with jay it dose make the game more fun.

and as for the ISA yes ok you had the upper hand against your last battle with the centauri but at war level you now you get less whitestars so you are the under dog this time sorry dude.

ps i would put my sherlins against your whitestars any day any time any were just bring it on

actually am sure you wouldnt have been happy if Jay had had 5 whitestars against you bob cos we know how that turns out. as for the centauri having the upper hand, not if it was the centauri, as they are a crippled fleet already and i would have no problems handing them their heads, they only have just over 3 war points left, hes just having to use sharlins to save himself. i may have allies but i am not using their ships. each fleet has weaknesses but using other peoples fleets to make up for those weaknesses isnt right. you are using almost half the minbari fleet by the sounds of it. if the centauri cant do the job themselves they should leave. as for ships with backwards firepower, even 2 corvans instead of one of ur skirmish ships would have given you 8AD rearwards. wouldnt have mattered what dice i got cos you cant outmanouvre whitestars with centauri and with only forwadr weapons you were screwed. i could have done one hit a turn and you would still have lost but prob ran before losing all your ships. dont blame the dice when you cant pick a fleet to fight your opponent with.
i think alliances should be there for information ect which is what i use mine for not to gain ships cos i havent a clue how to pick a fleet myself.

one more thing when you going to figth this battle ISA you waiting for an acked of god

tried to fight it all week but LDTD couldnt. now i am waiting for my reply from locarno. LDTD used a reroll last round to get his scenario modifier in cos he hadnt used it, so i am doing the same to him this round.

and as for pitting your sharlins against me anytime anywhere, the only time you would is if you had a war level scenario cos after our practise game where even with a teshlan along as well you couldnt kill 1 whitestar i think you know how that turns out.
dont get so cocky cos you beat a league fleet when using a centauri ship as well as your minbari. if he had actually thought and made sure a scenario was being played he could have done more. then theres the fact you needed an allied ship cos you have found out that sharlins arnt the be all and end all and you made poor fleet selection.

Ok...reroll done. Sorry for the delay. Modifiers cancel out.
8 point battle - I'm not sure that makes much difference, though.

some ones getting upset any way you got 8 point battle now witch means you get more whitestars ( looks like you got that acked of god nice move now you get to live )

ps you beat me in one friendly stop making it out that your whitstars are it

Can't pick a fleet to fight my opponent, eh? The fleet selection I used worked nicely against the Drazi. Might not be as agile as White Stars, but what is? I find it interesting that you claim that a Centauri fleet can never beat White Stars. Maybe not White Stars with absurdly jammy dice rolls behind them, but they die like anyone else if you shoot them enough. Perhaps I made a few tactical mistakes, but I've got no experience playing against ISA so I had to make it up as a went along. Given your habit of consistently producing crippling hits with every shot I didn't get long to get the hang of it...

If you don't like the way this campaign is run you can retire, but since the other players and the GM agreed to lending ships between allies I don't think it's going to change. Otherwise, try to remain civil and remember it's only a game.

i didnt say a centauri fleet can never beat whitestars, i just said that the one you fought me with couldnt once the dargan was dead so wasnt purely down to luck and bad dice as you keep stating, in fact as you have stated against both your opponents so far in this campaign LDTD.

Lord David the Denied has regular issues with his luck, and from what I've heard of his prior battle reports I can understand......Primus-class are not normally noted for bouncing off enemy battleships...

White stars are certainly a nasty opponent for a centauri laser fleet to face - they close so fast your extra reach soon becomes irrelevant, and are far tougher than Drazi Whateverbirds. However they are kind of shy on raw firepower, especially against incerceptor-equipped ships which largely ignore pulsar fire....
