Brivoki ???

I really don't remeber any references in the film about its class. Just "an ace cruiser" and "their flagship".

Well, it certainly looked like a Sharlin. A very big... and much nastier Sharlin. Worthy of Armageddon i think...

waite for my Earth Minbari War artical.

The thing currently comes within a gnat's whisker of being outgunned by the Sharoos which is a whole PL lower. The Neroon needs a definite boost to firepower and survivability before I would consider taking one.

Observation: The Sharoos is nothing more than a gun platform. The Neroon is a true fleet flagship.

It's hardly a 'gnat's whisker'. The Neroon's forward guns rack up an extra 30% damage* thanks to triple damage lasers and twin-linked fusion cannon, and that's the best that the Sharoos does - when looking at the broadside weapons it's closer to double the punch**.

The Sharoos does have all-round lasers, but the Neroon has no weaker arcs; it has ship-killing firepower in every direction. The extra range of the improved lasers is also nice, but less critical because you really, really want to be in a position to use the battery of a dozen twin-linked fusion guns as well.

Also - carrier role. The Sharoos has 1 flyer flight. The Neroon has 2, 8 nials, carrier 4, fleet carrier and command +2, or - to put it another way - it's got a Morshin-class carrier welded onto the side. Which is pretty much the same as the increase in hit points.

* Average damage Sharoos 22, Neroon 29
** Average damage Sharoos 15, Neroon 29

yeah, the Neroon is a fleet flagship. on it's own, it's a bit to general in it's abilities, not exceling at say Pure destructive power like a KaBinTak, in a fleet though it can offer fighter support, long range bombardment, excelent secondaries. You have to take this ship in the context of a fleet, not a straight comparison to another armagedon ship!

in the contents of most fleets you would take 2 warships, not really your best argument :-)

the vistory for who though, EA as the excaliber, over two warlocks, or for the ISA over 2 carriers (or if a big anough game, two sharlins, 2 G'Vrahns etc)

oh, and the drakh mothership is arguably worth taking over two cruisers, on the principle that it can carry one cruiser anyway ;-)

I would have to agree with hiffano on the drakh mothership....

In regards to the neroon if i played minbari i would take one for sure, the whole carrier aspect of it i like, i'd prolly back it up with some sharlin's and morshin's.... have a real carrier style fleet...

1 nerron 2 sharlins 2 morshin's for a 5 point war fleet, nice carrier base good initiative, some nice long range that can shred very fast any initiative sinks, and then all those sexy nail fighters for skin dancing or, dogfighting.... about the only people i would really see this being a problem against is narn and gaim....

How about this (yes i have posted this pic before).
