Funny thing is I made that exact change for my Universe just because I didn't like the bridge size break being 100 instead of the tonnage ending in 1 for the other start ranges. Makes your scout ship/seeker have a little extra cargo, even more with a small bridge.I used both these books to create a Ship and found a Bridge tonnage discrepancy between them at the 100Ton range. Which one is considered official? View attachment 5376
It was outdated the first time some author went freestyle in making new High Guard elements in a random adventure or supplement. So HG from 2022 is already outdated?
As they should according to the HG'22 system:Hmmm, both Scout ships in the 2022 update have a listed 10 ton bridge, which, if a 6 ton Bridge is now standard to a 100 ton hull, gives the 2 ships 4 extra tons of cargo space each. So yeah. It looks like the 2024 rules needs an update....
Well, OK, but they generally add stuff (whether compatible or not), not change the basic components. It was outdated the first time some author went freestyle in making new High Guard elements in a random adventure or supplement.![]()
One thing that Marc did do well was QC. Once he nerfed a rule it stayed nerfed... well till he nerfed it again that is...Either someone didn't look at the new table prior to including ship examples, or someone typo'd the 100 ton spot on the Core table, because the scout variants in the new Core book all have ten ton bridges, consistent with HG'22.
@MongooseMatt said the table is correct in the 24 Core rulebook Update. Seems that no one fixed the ships.Either someone didn't look at the new table prior to including ship examples, or someone typo'd the 100 ton spot on the Core table, because the scout variants in the new Core book all have ten ton bridges, consistent with HG'22.
There is the optional rule for retrotech. That can make them much more affordable. So when do the core computers get fixed? I think they have been broken ever since they were introduced. (TL 12, TL 13 and TL 15 prices).
