Bits and mortar stuff

Every so often I try to put some trade by my local shop.

Krackers of taunton, somerset.

With 2300 coming out I thought I would try them to see if they did the PDF thing.

They have never heard of it, they buy from Esdevium games who also say they have never heard of it.

Is there a web page or email address I can point them to.

I will be buying the Aramis book and ALL the 2300 books but would love the PDFs as well to go on a gaming laptop, I'm getting old, my back is gone. The old backpack with 40lbs of games books, dice anf figures just gets too heavy these days :(

Here is what I sent to my FLGS, Travelling Man...

Take a look at http://www.bits-and-mortar.com/

Some publishers (say Mongoose http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/ ) are members of the Bits and Mortar scheme.

This means that when a retailer (such as you) sells a paper copy of a book, you can provide the PDF version free to your customer. See the Bits and Mortar website for details or sales@mongoosepublishing.com for more details.

HTH!

Thanks. I emailed the site to the shop.

Now I just need mongoose to put the 2300 stuff and Aramis on the scheme and I'm moderately happy.

Well a bit happy.

Well ok less miserable than normal

Ooh, do you know if they've joined the scheme?
Ooh yes. This week I bought the Campaign Guide from Travelling Man Newcastle and got a free copy of the PDF via Bits and Mortar.

According to the main contact of Travelling Man, they are 1) joined up members of Bits & Mortar and 2) training their staff in the ways of Bits and Mortar.

Its always worth mentioning Bits & Mortar when you're buying something, just to be on the safe side.

HTH,

Ian
