Big 3 Coalition

I'm just saying he's got a hell of alot more support than you're giving him credit for. Russia, Brazil and Cuba are down with Venezuela at the very least!
The previous economic systems done naff all for the working classes of Venezuela, so maybe it is time to give socialism a chance for a change? Unlike N.Korea the UN observers gave that last election a thumbs up for impartiality as well as far as I recall...

Didn't mean to insult you by suggesting you watch Fox or ABC for you're news by the way

Nope, I watch BBC and CNN myself.... and when your people are knocking on your door, all the Cubans and Russians in the world won't help ya, just so you know.

Actually he was kinda stung from the retreat of the Soviets after the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Also, most of the people that don't like Castro leave or get locked up, so that works nicely for him, doesn't it?

Unfortunately, Chavez isn't like Castro.... A> His country has immediate neighbors, B> People like thier money, when your changes in who runs what hits their pocket books...well, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out what happens, C> His neighbors pocketbooks have the same effect.

I'm gonna agree to disagree to be honest, Im not entirly sure how 1% of the population can be called 'the people', and like I say, Brazils down with them :D Left leaning governents are damn popular down there, and its only because of CIA coups proping up people like Pinochet that they dont ttend to last long (Which we seem to agree dont work so well these days)...

This is an excelent documentry by the way:

Recomended to anyone with even a passing interest in Chavez :D

On the topic of Presidential Assassinations:
And that'd be Cheney, Evil....followed by the various Secretaries (of State, Defense, and so on), then it goes to the Majority leader of the Senate.

Just to clarify this a bit, the current order of succession would be:

the Vice President (VP Dick "Jump in front of my shotgun, will ya!" Cheney)
the Speaker of the House of Representatives (Nancy "I blink 68 times a minute" Pelosi)
the President pro tempore of the Senate (Robert "I'm not the lawyer the VP is hunting" Bird)
and then all those Secretary positions, starting with Condi as Secretary of State, followed by Treasury, Defense, Interior, Agriculture, Commerce, Labor, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Transportation, Energy, Education, Veteran's Affairs, all the way down to the Secretary of Homeland Security, who isn't doing a very good job if this job gets to him (or else he's the best Klingon mutha in government today).

Hope that helps clear things up.

Regards,
Larry

Woops...sorry, I thought it was Secretaries, then Congress. It's been seven or so years since Introduction to American Politics.

You still interested in showing up at Woodbridge Game Parlor this Monday, Larry?

I was really intending to, until my wife pointed out that I work that night, and its a holiday pay night (so playing hookie is out of the question).

Woodbridge is something I can only do on a Thurs - Saturday.

You ever run demos at the Chantilly location?

Regards,
Larry
