BF:EVO Scale??

mallymoocow

Mongoose
whats the actual scale of the BF Evo minis cheers, sorry for the v. nooby question just can't find any details bout it on the site. ta

allegedly I just got a challanger at 1:72 (corgi war thingy) thats near as damn it spot on, maybe 2mm to short and 1mm to narrow...

its 1:65

corgi do 1:64 as a scale

and dragon/easy modles do 1:72, but acording to guy nin modle shop whos big into his military stuff, the dragon and easy modles stuff is a little oversized to help sell it, so it hits more around 1:68 scale he feels wich is why it looks about right compared to the MGPones. the MGP barrels are a little wider but then they are suposed to be the new rifled barrels being employed for 2015, plus it looks a little cooler and lasts longer if the barrels are a little wider possable, combinations of production requirments and such.

so dragon/easy modles tanks and apc's on the whole arnt to far of on scale, wile corgi do 1:64 wich is as near as damn it spot on

NNNoooooooo

Must resist comments that are not "shiny" or "computer approved for citizen distribution"

Best answer - check out any of the multitude of threads here that have the word scale or size in them - you will get a belly full of scale definitions and equally varied opinions.

Turns off flamethower and backs away slowly.

My Dragon 1:72 Leopard IIs are just slightly smaller in every dimension than the Corgi 1:64 M1A2s I have... which are in turn very close to the MGP tanks.

Arggggggghhh! Everyone just step away from this thread now. Don't think about replying anymore. Just move away before you are all again consumed in the debate that stops a forum. GET OUT NOW! GET OOOOUUUUT! No really. BACK AWAY FROM THIS THREAD NOW. DON'T CLICK THE RESPOND NOW THREAD AT ALL. PLEASE FOR HUMANITY'S SAKE DON'T DO IT. THINK OF THE CHILDREN!

Mallymoocow, I'm not having a go at you but this question always sparks a debate that never ends and frustrates so many people. Basically all men are 28mm which then leads to everyone saying that that makes them 6' in real life going on the 1:65 which then leads people to say that that's too big others to say it's fine and others to weep themselves to sleep knowing that they are vertically challenged and counted among the fair folk, while others just look on in horror and disbelief as the same old debate arises again.

There's always one who has to reply isn't there? Always one member...
I should be grateful that it wasn't a scale dispute though. Thanks Old Soldier.

Starts good - even though I'd beat you to the "just say no" part - Gibbs you should have eneded here - but then you just have to poke the "Scale Bull" with a stick with the following....

Sorry, felt mallymoo needed an explanation . You can't just tell everone to walk awat and not explain to the original poster why. It's just not cricket... or good forum etiquette.

In the terrain I've purchased, anything for 25-30mm sized figs seems to look great. The actual troop models are 28mm standing when not measuring the bases, 30mm with the bases. Hope this helps as well.

If you look in the MEA buildings thread, you'll see much of my O guage Model Railroad building collection that I use for BF EVO

Technically these buildings are a little large but they look good on the table with the minis.

Truth is - any terrain/buildings you have for 28mm games - like 40K etc. will work well.

Welcome to the (dysfunctional - scale thread wise) BF evo family :P
