BEvo Russian Tank Rider question

If one takes 2 Russian Tank Rider teams as the minimum 2 required Squad Assets (not a lot of guys but VERY cheap to save on points!)...are they required then to actually enter the game on the requisite KV or T34 or could one buy a bunch of SU tank destroyers instead and make the Riders essentially enter the game as foot-sloggers?

I assume they should enter with their intended tanks as to do otherwise would be pretty cheesy?

Can't see any reason why not - there is nothing to say their tanks dropped them off a mile down the road and are off doing something else. . .

Reading the official rule book say reading it word for word, adding nothing and subtracting nothing.
