Best Gang Theme Contest. Prize by me. :D

Oh, umw, I forgot to ask what your first gang's city block name is. Or in this case I guess which city block they live under.

They live in the ruins of old Michael Berryman Block...Anyone? Anyone?

That poor man is my hero! Nuthin' will ever beat him in the original Hills Have Eyes...creeeeeepy. :D

Lots of talkin' goin' on...not so much with the Gang photos...Surely you are not all creativly challanged? Someone else must have a painted gang to take photos of? No wonder support for this game is fading out...everyone is willing to bitch about no support...but no one even has a painted gang to play with! Pull up your socks Gangs players. How hard can it be to get your s@#$ together?

I'm doing the Michael Barrymore block then.

'The crafty butchers'

(Meat delivered at the rear).

I might finish my paramilitary mutant gang then.... only ever got one painted. Background has a deliberate GW link, so I left the eagles etc...

The rest are ready to go though...... I was waiting for the cursed earth rules. But this might be the prompt I needed :)

Team Turtle

19

This rag-tag bunch from the Jimmy Doohan con-apts started life as a vigilante band. However, after a few skirmishes with the local gangs, they discovered that causing mayhem was far more fun (and much easier and profitable) than trying to prevent it.

Turtle is the brains of the outfit- he might be slow, but he is also steady and solid. He will never attack without a solid advantage, but once committed, he won't back down. Of course, he never goes anywhere without his Shell armour.

Fast Eddie is always the first to the fight, running in with both guns blazing. He is also the first to turn tail when determined resistance is met.

Scope likes to hang back and snipe, despite being the worst shot of the gang.

Purdy is a decent shot, but never seems to make it to the fight on time.

Billy-Bob is rather unstable, even for a MC-1 ganger, and should never be let near explosives.

Jenna relies on her looks to distract the opposing gangers long enough to get in the first shot.

Carla is cool, calm, and collected, and can be relied upon in a tough situation.

Nicks kleptomaniac tendencies are handy in general, but he is too easily distracted by thieving opportunities during a fight.

Although relatively new, Team Turtle are already shaping up to be one of the more powerful gangs of the area.

Dangit! I'm away from home for most of three months.. Not sure I'll get a weekend at home before the comp gets decided.. grr..

Finally some competition!!! Team Turtle looks great...I am in awe of your paint jobs...great stuff. Now if only some more folks would post some pix...If you haven't posted any I'm talking to YOU.

I know "Do or do not ... There is no try."

I added to the Aliens rules at home IR/ Heatseeker s"£$% up as in the movies they dont give off an IR signiture

Well crap. It would be that I start on a home improvement project (putting in hardwood floors, repainting entire house (everyroom inside) and a contest starts up. And my and my conversions just begging to be painted and all prepped up.

Maybe I can slip in some time to paint, but I doubt it. :(

I haven't had the time to properly publish the last gaming day between Arabin and I.

Quick suggestion; though I will agree that the lighting is poor, it also seems like the camera is focusing on the foam in the background rather than the minis. An idea might be to try and lock the focus at the distance that you want and then position the camera at the same distance from the minis to take the pictures.

Just a thought.

Edit: Hope you don't mind, but I tried to enhance your photos. Of the three, the group shot came out the clearest.

Ok.

I'm back from being away - and want to submit a gang, regardless of the closing date. This is - after all - my favourite game.

Just the details for now, and I'll hopefully add on some pics over the weekend (conversions done, gang played, but I'm not a great painter, so I keep putting it off).

Indian Joe's Wigwammers

Block: Lou Diamond Phillips

These tomahawk-wielding, feather-headed gangers possess a disturbingly half-remembered notion of Native American heritage, savage nobility and a tendency to use 'um' instead of um definite article.

Top Dog: Indian Joe 90
Lieutenant: Wendy-Go-Go
Punks: Pocahuntress, Hawkeyes, Horse
Juves: Tonto, Teepee
Specialists: Lickle Big Horn (tiny rhino mutie)

Total Rep: 23

Two fights in and nobody's died (yet). I'm sending Lickle Big Horn, Pocahuntress and Wendy-go-go to Scrawl obscenities on Hammertime's business front on Monday night.

For now, here's their ceremonial Toastem Pole, which needs fixing.
