Good question. The answer is that, up to now, we have never needed to. Every once in a while something may get delayed or go missing in the post, but it is a once in a blue moon event. The service provided by the Royal Mail is fast and good value, to the extent that before the virus (and Brexit, that one probably has ended the dream) we were hoping to move our free shipping service to everywhere in the world. This virus has hammered shipping across the world and businesses were just not prepared for it.
As things stand, shipping is 'patchy'. We recorded a parcel to Australia the other day as taking just 10 days to reach its destination, which is brilliant, all things considered - at the same time, we have seen two weeks to a European country as the current 'normal'. This, incidentally, is why I am not hugely worried about European orders of Behind the Claw, as I really do think they have just been delayed beyond the old norm.
Now, the thing that does concern me are the UK shipments. Most of you received your copies within just a couple of days, but all those who have reported non-arrivals in the UK all just happened to be in the same mail sack when it left our building - which kinda suggests someone has 'lost' the entire sack (or it is in the back of a van somewhere, I have heard of such things happening from our local Postie). If that is you, do not panic - we already know who you are and once we get restocked on Behind the Claw (should be early next week), another copy will be going out to you.
A bit wordy, I apologise, but hopefully that explains what is going on right now!
