Base price for Freight and Trade Goods

I feel like the answer to this might be really obvious, but gonna ask anyway  : is the Freight Cost (on the Passage and Freight Costs table, CRB p207) and the Base Price (on the Trade Goods table, CRB pp 212-13) per ton? Or is it a flat cost for that particular parcel of goods, regardless of the amount of tons you roll?

Thanks,

Dan.

Per ton, although in looking at the chart on page 207 and reading the description it does not actually say that anywhere. Nice catch. lol

Another couple of questions on trade:

- selling goods works the same as buying goods. Does that mean that when you find a buyer, they will be buying "all Common Goods available, the Trade Goods that match the world’s trade code, and 1D randomly determined goods"? Or do you need to find a buyer for each type of good you are selling?
- the trade classification "Vacuum" does not show up under the Purchase DM or Sale DM columns. Do you think it's fair enough to consider Vacuum the same as Asteroid for the purposes of trade?

Thanks,

Dan.

Finding a buyer is the same as finding a supplier but there is no step to find what they will buy. It is assumed that they will buy what you are selling or they could not really be considered a "buyer". They may not put a high value on the goods you are selling however; that is determined by the selling dice roll.

Your skill roll modifiers are on pg 210. Some GM's may make you roll a buyer for each item you have for sale, or each type of item if they want a more general buyer. (E.g: a buyer will buy all industrial items you have, or all ores or metals, or all types of pharmaceuticals etc). It is up to the GM. There could be a buyer that will buy everything because they think they can resell for a better profit with their varied contacts.
