Bad Casts...

Wickedclown

Mongoose
Hi, just got my mega deal and noticed nearly every model has some miscast or deformity some being easily repaired other Missing cockpits or wings, Who do i talk to about getting this sorted?

My hawkwood fleet is barely recognisable (The carrier has 3 holes across the top of it)

I can post pics if needed but who is it i talk to about getting this sorted?

Cheers for the help

Craig.

O no, I was hoping we was not going to be going down the same road as we did with B5 (B5 vets will know what I mean), I will have to see for my self when I get my hawkwood, but If what you say is true then Im not impressed.

Hope you get it sorted and hope your's was just a one off.

Always come straight to me (msprange@mongoosepublishing.com) and we will sort you out immediatly.

On a wider note, we run a very tight QA procedure on our models but it is possible for a small number of models to slip through the net - these we will catch with lightning fast customer service to get you the models you want and need.

Just a quick update on this...

We are moving the 'sprue' on the Malcolm to the bottom of the vessel. This will stop it breaking away when cast and leaving the tell-tale holes.

This will be done immediately, ready for the ship's general release. In the meantime, we will be double and triple checking each individual Malcolm, and discarding any spoiled. _If_ any 'Holey Malcolm's' slip through this net (or are already out there), contact me (msprange@mongoosepublishing.com) and we will swap it out freely and completely.

cheers matthew, You'll be recieving an email off me shortly!

I got my sample hawkwood to day, and I to had the 3 holes on the Malcolm, but i must say it is easy to repair when you know how, so if you do get the 3 hole's you can do what I did.

It is as simple as fill the 3 holes in with green stuff and sand it down.

Green stuff is that modelling putty you can get from games workshop.

or stick 3 guns on top "even better" :D .

job done.

I can see why, the replacement I was sent still had the sprue attached at the top, my goodness that's a chunk of metal, a few snips later and some filing all that's left is a few slight bumps easily camoflagued with paint job.

Thanks Matt
