AU: Extinction

You know, this probably would be better off as the skeleton for a B5 RPG campaign. If we combine elements so that the huge space battles are played out using ACTA and the more dramatic portions are driven using RP... actually, I think it'd be pretty cool...

I would like suggestions on how to mechanically write-up these scenarios. Additional scenario suggestions are also very welcome.
---------------------------------
Scenario: The Fall of Mars

After the Battle of the Line, it was several months before the Minbari had sufficiently subdued Earth and Luna. They then turned their attention to the remains of the EF that had gathered around Mars...

The remains of the EA chain of command faced a tough decision. There were not enough forces to fight the Minbari, and after the Line, many felt that the Minbari were an unbeatable foe. Eventually it was decided that the remaining ships, both civilian and military, would jump for the Rim, gathering at the planet others called Za'ha'dum before making one last jump rimward.

---------------------------------
Scenario: All Alone In The Night

The flight to Za'ha'dum was not without event. Minbari forces followed the EA remnants into hyperspace and engaged in them there. The refugee humans lost many ships, both to the Minbari and to hyperspace. The Minbari withdrew when they felt confident they had disrupted enough of the chain to reduce survival chances to nil. (Scenario A)

It was the efforts of the civilian ships that kept too many EF personnell from being lost in hyperspace. The weight of numbers provided a sufficient grouping of beacon signals that many off-beacon members were able to lock on again. Search parties were organized and conducted for eighteen hours. (Scenario B)

---------------------------------
Scenario: A Question of Honor

The human ships that had not jumped to the Rim fled to the borders of the League of Non-Aligned Worlds, where they begged for asylum. The League remembered the efforts of the EA during the Dilgar War, and assented to asylum. In particular, the Drazi and Abbai were instrumental in convincing other League members.

The Minbari warrior caste was particularly unsatisfied with the outcome of the Earth-Minbari war. They had been promised that there would be no quarter given to the humans who had murdered Dukhat in cold blood. And yet the Grey Council had stayed their hand: subjugate the remaining humans, do not kill them. Rogue elements of the warrior caste pursued the original genocidal agenda, and attacked the refugee ships near League space.

It was known as Field of Tears, as the League fleet was terribly outmatched by the Minbari ships. It would have ended in loss for the League, had a Vorlon transport not arrived with a message. It was broadcast over multiple spectrums, cutting through the noise of battle as a thunderclap over the desert sky.

"LEAVE."

Unwilling to risk the wrath of the Vorlons, all parties involved fled.
---------------------------------

Scenario: Suffer Not The Witch

The Minbari and the Vorlons believed that the Shadows were still asleep, recuperating from the last war. They are wrong.

A shadow ship, piloted by a human telepath, has been conducting lightning strikes on League and Minbari patrols, as a means of testing their strength and how far the younger races had come since the last time the shadows walked the galaxy. The shadows had hardly believed their new human pawns when they had told them of the myriad sentient races that had arisen.

Finally, a concerted effort by the Minbari attempts to locate and destroy this shadow ship. It did not end well for the Minbari, with the loss of several Sharlins and scout vessels, but they apparently destroyed the shadow ship.

-------------------------------
Scenario: Tower of Babel

It had been long evident that there was dissatisfaction among the Minbari warrior caste at the outcome of the Earth-Minbari War. Instead of crushing the humans for all time, the Grey Council had stayed their hand, having lost their taste for blood. The humiliation the Vorlons had brought at the Field of Tears stuck in the craw of the alyts as well.

The final straw was the Babylon Project. It was created to show galactic goodwill and promote peace between the peoples of the galaxy. It was the last, best hope, for peace. And it was to be built and maintained by humans as their first taste of freedom since the Earth-Minbari War.

Naturally, the rogue elements of the Minbari warriors could not let this slight come to pass. They struck Babylon Station with force.

Common Scenario: When Raiders Attack!
(Imagine the title in the style of those B-Movie headlines and you'll get an accurate idea of what I was aiming for with the title.)

There have always been those who have preyed upon the weakest links of society. They may be the poor, dispossessed, or disenfrancised. They do not always turn to a life of crime on the star lanes. Those that do are sometimes called space pirate, buccaneers, or raiders.

More commonly, raiders are privateers. That is, they are given the equivalent of a letter of marque from Earth's Age of Sail and given legal sanction by a sovereign government to pillage and plunder enemy space traffic. Since the government often does not want to be associated with the semi-legal activities, they will generally lend only outdated hulls they purchased from other governments or ramshackle constructions that cannot be associated with them.

(Basically a combination of the Ambush and Convoy Run scenarios, only with raiders being the attackers. Allow the Raider player to take up to half the scenario FAP in League Ships, however, to represent privateers.)
--------------------------------------------

Common Scenario: Crossfire

A task force was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and has been caught in the crossfire between two sovereign states. Thus a battle blooms with three sides.

(Take the Call To Arms scenario and make the middle portion the third player's deployment zone.)

Bump.

No feedback? No suggestions for scenarios or how to set these up mechanically?

Or is everybody waiting for 2e like myself? :)
