Assembling a Japanese WW2 fleet for VAS

This is my first go at a WW2 miniatures fleet. My mates and I decided to go with GHQ minis because we weren't aware at the time of the emerging Mongoose range and GHQ have a pretty well established range.

Nice work! While everyone probably has their own favourite ship, especially among their own fleet, it's hard to argue that Yamato was one of the best looking ships of WW2. Especially if it's going to point 18" guns at you if you disagree. :twisted:

For the bases, I'd probably put white around the ship's bow and stern to highlight its bow wave and wake. Anywhere else on the base I'd either leave the basic blue, or perhaps use a lighter shade of blue to add texture. But that's just me.
