Arms and Equipment in RQ2...

Banded Mongoose
OK so I bought RQ2 in 1981, RQ3 in 1986 and 25 years later I'm buying RQ2 again. At least there doesn't seem to be another repetition of the Kyger Litor cult in it so things are clearly looking up...

A while back I bough the Arms and Equipment supplement from Mongoose which was for the version of RQ they had before the one they are now calling RQ2. I see there's a new version of the Arms and Equipment supplement out. Could anyone tell me if it is the same/compatible with the new RQ please?

Thanks,

Old and confused... :?

Kyger Litor is described in the Races of Glorantha vol.1

The A&E from Mongoose RQ 1st edition is different from the second edition. In fact, RQ 2 is better (much better) than MRQ1. If you have purchased MRQ2 and A&E from the 1st edition, you should do a lot of conversions, as the system is very different.

Many thanks - the good news is that after 30 years of buying RQ supplements I have more KL instances than I care to think about. I've read that the Races of Glorantha supplement is very good but, for me, the only reason to buy it would be old times sake. I'm looking forward to some of the newer settings lime Age of Treason.

Thanks for tip on A&E. I'm slightly dismayed that I'll need to buy another edition but, I agree, the new RQ2 looks very good so far.

Cheers,

Quite a lot of A&E for MRQ2 is actually cut and pasted from the MRQ1 book, without being updated, which annoyed a lot of buyers. However, there is some very good new stuff in there, especially the essential Enchantment rules and the Alchemy rules. I was happy with my purchase because of them.

I think the 2nd edition A&E book is now on sale at a reduced price in recognition of the editing deficiencies.
