Armor Limits?

Since we are building mechanics to scale weapons and armor what limits should be applied?

i.e. In the Starship scale armor is limited to a maximum rating equal to the Tech Level Should that be applied across the board for the other two scales?
 
It would be nice to see the armor factor of zero be more susceptible to the stronger vehicle weapons. Civilian ships should be built for economics, thus they have the magical meteoroid protection, but should tike some damage from say a heavy laser on up. Maybe it's a single point from a 3dd weapon, and 2 points from a 4dd weapon, but it fits in a logical scale of what things should be doing. Plus it means players can't just sit in their starship and laugh at the ground troops. Eventually they just might be blowing a hole in your armor.
 
Looking at Vehicle 5-6 over the past week has reminded me that there are armor limits in play, just buried in the design system....

Soft skinned vehicles have a maximum of 5 time there base armor for tech level
(Armor 30 at tl15)

While Armored vehicle effectively are limited to 30 times base....
(Armor 180 at tl15)
