Armageddon 2089 - New Ideas

Well, A2089 does actually NEED some playtesting before it moves on. There is a draft rule framework which needs some good hard playing. So by all means kick up a fuss asking for a playtest... it may speed the eventual game up!

Does Best Obi Wan Impression

This is the playtester you are looking for!

Ends Obi Wan Impression

It all sounds very good. I know I'm interested.

7. A real-time worldwide campaign where you will actually be able to fight for your own country or don the role of a mercenary. The course of the A2089 war will depend on you (this one may not be pie in the sky - we are working on something very similar right now for a different game).
Being from the great 'land down under', this one certainly interests me.

Would it be similar to the Living Spyraft method, or something different entirely?

What I want to add to the warmek idea is - I like the concept of different warmek producers with their individual styles.

That is something we will certainly keep. . .

It's already been asked, but it's been a bit...

Will there be any new manufacturers of meks/tanks/etc?

I've always been interested in A2089 but never got the books. (Too many books to read already) If you were to put out a Graphic novel as an introduction to the world, then I might be convinced that I need to own every A2089 product that comes down the line. The Dark Horse Conan comics got me to pick up the Conan game.

Just cos you buy them doesn't mean you have to read them all at once. My best friend complains about my large number of 'ornamental' books, esp since I won't let her borrow them until I've read 'em

To Kyu Kage!!

It seems that there will be some new warmek manufactures. :P I osted some similiar questions about this toic and I guess that there will be new states, which gained warmek technology (like Israel...)

This is my suggestion of a crytical ost written by Mongoose.

So I hoe this will become true.....!!

To MJD!!
Thank you for giving an answer.... !
Do you have an idea of the number of warmeks, we will see in A289 starter box...

Will there be some four limbed warmeks....

That's a tough one. It's early days yet.

The Mek Book rough has 26 fairly common units in it. Most of them atre based on the RPG Meks, though some are new.

The Nordic S-type and ESD-type Meks are pretty unique in concept, and fitr the Nordid defence/deterrence model. The American Combat Vehicles Sniper, with its hypervelocty cannon and Stealth configuration, is pretty neat. The British Huscarl is cheap and... well, it's cheap.

There are other new designs; Halsey's 'Liberator' Mek (actually a Volksmecha-Egide 'Hussar' with a neat black paint job), the old IAI Bastion... some others too. Design philosophy does make a difference now. You want stealth? Fine but you lose capcity. Overbuild and create an unkillable mosnter if you like, but weapons fit will suffer.
