Are Judges ever 'off duty'?

I once worked in a place where the HR officer gave everyone ( a hundred or so staff ) a compulsory Equal Opportunities course. A whole morning on sexuality, sexism , agism etc. Shortly after these were all completed a member of the catering staff ( who was a transvestite outside work) turned up on a day off as a member of the public. He was manhandled by security straight into the HR office where the HR officer sternly started the dialogue with "I think you've got problems !"

The first Judge Giant was apparantly granted a whole month's leave back in 2100. The reasons are unspecified, I would guess at re-cuperation from injuries being the cause. Possibly a time when he lapsed into an 'extra-judicial' relatonship ?
Some judges in the comic strip clearly find time to occasionally view tri-dee shows ...an example being the one Vienna played a bimbo in.

Judge Stark was apparantly granted a sabbatical back to Brit-Cit after his mother had died.
