Apocalypse-Z , Evo ZOMBIES!

Will it matter which version of Battlefield Evo I have? Or will those work wirth both Modern and WaW?

also ordered my copy...as well as being inducted into the goat herder ranks, I have a bucket-O-zombies ready to play!

still working on the food...er humans...need more minis...wait...did I just say that?

I got my copy of "Z"
I'm quite impressed with the book, it has a nice layout, with plenty of flavor text and some interesting artwork. I'm quite pleased with the final product!

BRAVO to the folks at E.G.G.

the modern war book is a "primary" set of rules, WaW, "Z" and the forth coming "D" are rules supliments to that book, that being said, you could have zombies in a WaW setting.

you need a copy of BFE to use either of the other books.

First off, awesome name for a company. I fell off my chair when I read that URL.

D is for dinosaur. Cracking. I've tried to get my lot into dino gaming, but they keep resisting. Pitching this as a modern setting means I can come at them as Godzilla instead of the Land Before Time DCLXVI.

Will Mongoose be printing this as well?

Sorry I haven't responded sooner...

Both Modern and World at War are core rulebooks for the series .They each have the 42 or so page core rules you would need to play any Evolution title.

Apocalypse-Z is a supplement for either book (indeed we used WaW soley for the playtesting since Modern was not yet released). It includes new Advanced Rules, New Traits, New army lists (indeed, I challenge you to find a single zombie rhinocerous in Modern or WaW) and Scenarios...

Apocalypse-D will be similar. New Advanced Rules will not (cannot under OGL) change anything in the core sections of Modern or WaW. One such new advanced rule is:

Beastmastery: This is what allows a neanderthal with th aptly named Beastmaster trait to poke, prod, cajole, ride or otherwise badger a dinosaur into combat. There is a required number of beastmasters for each dinosaur (1/2 the size value of dino= minimum number of beastmasters). If the dino ever has fewer than the required number, there is a chance it will revert to its instinctual behavior: predatory or herd. If this happens, mayhem ensues as your T-Rex eats the rest of his beastmasters and then runs amok! Fun Fun Fun

There are also new traits (like Beastmaster). One is cavalry. This allows riders. There are also Ambush, Countercharge, and TAC Com gear to name a few. There are also heroes with heroic abilities.

If anyone wants a Demo set or rules (just a taste) go to the Exploding Goat Games Yahoo group and sign up. Members of the group can download the demo free from the files section.

We're hoping that this will also be a Flaming Cobra imprint taken on by Mongoose (as they did with the upcoming Apocalypse-Z [YAY])

Thanks for listenin'

I'm at GenCon now. My buddy and I both bought a copy of the book. It was selling well and there were only 1-2 copies left on the shelf. I've only flipped through it, but it's nicely done and there is some creative variety on the mini options.

Yep, it lends itself to alot of fun and lee-way in what you do. We've run a few Resident Evil style games with it and a few World War II w/zombies games with it. Both have worked out very well. I put up one our after action reports on the goat forum if you guys are interested.
