Greetings fellow gamers. I'm absolutely ecstatic about being inducted into the fine ranks of Flaming Cobra publishers! We're Exploding Goat Games and, while our newest release isn't a role-playing game, I figured I'd announce it in the FC forum as well...

Apocalypse-Z is a Battlefield Evolution supplement under the open license. Its ready for pre-release and has a November date for the big splash.

Apocalypse-Z is a zombie supplement for Evo and we'd like to think we captured all of the fun pulp/cheese/cliche elements of our favorite zombie flicks... if you follow the FC link on the main page to the Nov releases, you'll see a bit more info.

Again, its great to be inducted into such esteemed ranks as the other Flaming Cobra publishers... thanks for listening!

Good Gaming,
Jay

Welcome onboard.

I was looking at your board (http://www.explodinggoatgames.com/) and saw a forthcoming game called Dept 666, will Apocalypse Z be compatiable with it?

Department 666 is, at this point, in the concepting stages. We're planning it as a standalone game system rather than an Evo supp. This is largely due to the planned close combat in 666. In Battlefield Evolution, the CC is secondary to the shooting and represents close combat well for modern games. We've gone over ways to enhance the cc of Evo, but we can't, at this point, think of anything that we could do that wouldn't violate the Open License requirements against significantly changing the core rules.

Department 666 will be set in the pulp/gothic horror Victorian Era and will have a "Hellboy-esque" feel to it. We've got a Goat contributor who has a neat little game system that we're thinking might work... 666 will likely be our next major minis game that isn't an Evo supplement. We've got LOTS of Evo supps in mind...

Here's a blog review of the Apocalypse-Z pre-release:

This is entirely what a gaming review should be, well thought-out, with constructive critiques. I was overall very pleased with the review and thankful to Robert (CCotD) for the time he spent.
