Anyone else growing disenchanted with the Conan comic?

Heh. Lemme get back to sharpening my "rapier wit" and I'll tear this uninvited "guest" a new one with some more "Major Burns" later... And I don't mean the M*A*S*H character, either, but some really phat third degree insult burns, like you see on TV. You know the kind I mean, LOL. Okay, back to sharpening that wit now...

:? Focus, Chef, focus!!! How do you put this menacing 13 year old back in his place? Ignoring him would be way too mature and the other posters would think you were more chef than iron... The pressure! The pressure!

***wrings hands together, nervously***

How about if we get a moderator to close and lock this thread, as it has veered way off topic (and was only tangentally related to the RPG in the first place), and seems to now be getting nasty?

That sounds like a good proposal.

This from the guy who said it was finally becoming entertaining, LOL! Oh, well. Saves my poor brain from having to think of snappy comebacks.

Don't be surprised to see this "guest" (or another) make more snide insults on other threads, though. That's the trouble with open messageboards, but forcing registration would cut down on the number of visitors/new posts. I know I didn't bother to register for some time just to post a message until I really got into the Conan game and community here and felt that a perk like editing my posts would be worth the extra trouble. It's a double-edged sword, so I'm not advocating forced registration just because we get an occasional "guest" who can't behave himself.

This is, after all someone who has spent three days coming back to this site to insult Chef.

Yeah you're right- I don't come to this forum because I'm a Conan rpg fan or anything like that. No, sir, not at all.

Haha. Highlighted areas emphasize severe mental illness. I can't believe you have such a specific philosophy about Internet message boards.

You should take all this ineffectual nerd energy and put it into getting laid or something. :)

Allow me to decode your secret message:
because I'm a Conan rpg fan . . . I . . . should take all this ineffectual nerd energy and put it into getting laid or something.
It's OK, we all understand the stress it can bring on . . . we're all friends here . . .

Well guy and girls, like many interesting threads, this one has degenerated into a flame war initiated by an anonymous 'Guest'. As a result I have choosen to lock this thread.

I thank all of our regular and registered participants for the way in which they have handled our 'Guest' in this case. Maybe in time self policing like this will force such people to form their own forums where they can flame to their heart's content in the comfort of their own domains. In the meantime we'll have to suffer them.

Be warned 'Guest', we do have the capability to ban you from our forums. I am loathe to use such drastic measures, and instead will give you the opportunity to continue to use our site with a little more courtesy, but be warned.
