Images all yoinked from Signs & Portents. Hope Mongoose don't mind, but I wanted them all in one place.

i dislike the new lami specialy scince thats all you get i want more moritas instead of the chronicle vertion and they have 2 rockets out of like 8 troopers ... i better start buying the old ones... and quick :(

well im doing a conversion project, converting imperial gardsman to lami troops! still need to see if the moritas fit.

Wow! I've been gone for a while, but it seems that my artwork is showing up on the Fenirs prototype!

It's supposed to be the "Sign of the Prophet" btw which indicates a bad mo-fo you don't want to mess with (aka "fanatic").

Oh yeah, but they did improve over time with BFEVO, it's a test to see how how well pre-paints worked.
So now they should be pretty standard.

I surmised as much when BF:Evo was announced and the whole pre-paint thing got my t*ts in a wringer.

All I know is my own area. BF:Evo was DOA. A large part of that was all the probs with the SST figs, I'm sure. My FLGS has sold nothing from the BF:Evo line, and what hasn't been eBay'd is on the "50% off" rack.

I was in there this afternoon as a matter of fact, and I grabbed a box of the AvP pre-paints and compared them to the BF: Evo Fedayeen....

Looking in the packages, I could see that the bases of several of the BF:Evo figs were bonded to their packing straps (I went through that with the Marines I ordered and ultimately threw out), and IMHO the quality of the AvP pre-paints eclipses that of the BF:Evo figs by several orders of magnitude.

That having been said, pre-paints DO NOT sell in my area...so maybe we're unique. As I said, BF: Evo was DOA: the owner never even ordered the rulebook after he saw the first figs come in.

The owner has absolutely zero intention of stocking the new SST, so if BF:Evo was a "test" then, at least in my area, it was a giant step backwards as far as SST and MGP are concerned.

Regards.

They mostly appear in the monthly Mongoose magazine Signs&Portents, which you can download for free off this site.

Im really not liking those ED209 rip offs... The other Forth have some nice detailing on them, but these... I don't know if its a dfifferent sculpter, or the fact that these are intended to be sold as a multipack or what, but they just seem too smooth when you compare them to what the equivlent priced action figure has (Im guessing, if you get three of these for arounf £15 pound then I retract this statement :D)
