ACTASF Orion Double Raider and Orion OK6 final renders

I might be alone in this, but I'd like a little more surface details, but I'm not sure what to suggest.

The 2500 line has allowed a lot of additional detail for painters to take advantage of, and I've started seeing large flat areas as a missed opportunity. On the other hand with Orions that area is available for a nice decal design for their version of nose art.

I like them, a lot.

Now how quickly can I get my hands on an OK6?

I'm not familiar with Orion fluff. Is the OK6 a 'one of' or are they a bit more common?

The OK6 was a One Off but as far as ACTA goes you can probably field a whole fleet of them.

Depends how you want to play it.

How you're group handles things is entirely up to you as a group.

There are a few captured ships in use in some navies, all of which seem to be Klingon (Hydran D7H Anarchist, Tholian TK5 Exile and Orion OK6 Conquest).

The OK6 is basically almost a battlecruiser for the orions, as they have all the weapons on the rear hull of a D6 (4 disruptors and the deck phaser 3s) but gain 4 phaser1's and 3 option mounts. It's a very nasty customer up close.

The TK5 is an F5 hull with a PC front, giving it 4 phaser-1s and 2 disruptors forwards and 3 phaser-1s aft, making it tough destroyer (particularly given it has 12 hull boxes, which would be 24 ACTA damage).

For some reason it's only Klingon ships that get captured and put back into service, possibly because they're the coolest looking. The Hydran Anarchist is the only one captured after a mutiny as far as I can recall.

While replacing the plasma-Gs on a captured battlehawk with photons might seem like a good idea, you'd want to keep them in case you capture an F5 and can repaint it white with a red racing stripe down the side. Or get the rear hull and mate it to something.

I'm not up on all the SFB/FC stuff. Were there captured hull versions of any non-Klingon ships? For the sake of this I'm ignoring the Wyn cluster, as fairly often they were purchased hulls.

The reason Klingon Rear hulls show up is because of successful mutinies. The loyal crew retreats into the boom blows clear activates thier emergency engines turn on the scuttling charges in the rear hull and leave. Sometimes the mutineers deactivate the suicide charges, usually they find out what it feels like to walk on the surface of the sun.

Yes there are other "Sisters of the Anarchist" ships out there. The only one coming to mind right now is the IKV Maelstorm. A Hydran Ranger heavy cruiser converted to Drone Ship by the Klingpns. I am sure somewhere there is a Kzinti Carrier in Lyran service.
