When the Technomage uses a special action to create two false ships, what are the rules for placement of the new ships?

Chern, it's all in the S&P article:

Instantly move 10” in any direction and face any heading. With a successful Crew Quality check (target 10), may also create two ‘dummy’ Techno Mage ships. The player does not have to announce which is the real ship. Each dummy ship will move and take damage as normal, and will stay on the table until the Techno Mage performs another Special Action or attacks, or is destroyed. The dummy ships must stay within 20” of the real ship, or be instantly removed. Dummy ships may not attack or use Special Actions.

On the above I'd say anywhere within 20" of the original ship.

On that note, be careful, it would be possible to pace the dumy ships in such a manner that a quick opponent with a measuring tape could rule out one of the dummies immediately, as you could place it too far away from the original position of the real ship for it to be anything but a dummy ship.

Well I'd say the subsequent movement rules will be no mor erestrictive than the initial placement rules, but in lieu of any other guidelines I'd work to it.
