ACTA SF

Lincolnlog - The Franz Joseph Design ships (DN,CA,DD,SC,&TUG) have yet another royalty that has to be paid. As such lately they have been grouped into a single product by themselves. In SFB/FC they are known as Squadron Box 91 and Booster 91. At Origins SVC said they would be a later release if the are ever made in the 2500 series.

Whats the difference between the FJCA and the normal CA?
(as honestly it doesn't seem right to me that the Federation CA wouldnt be one of the first
ships to come out).

There's enough variation between the FJ and the standard models that they can be told apart.

I'm sending you to our shopping cart where you can make comparisons (this is NOT a sales pitch, but just a place where I know you can look at the art of the minis).

I hope this helps. Minis are my week spot as the guys will tell you.

Externally it should be 4 phasers and a drone hatch. Mongoose added a ridge back tho the secondary Hull. So basically nothing a file won't correct.

The FJD CA has a blind spot in its phaser' arcs created by the nacelles. The CA that will be in ACTA:SF is what in SFB terms is called a CAR+a. What ADB did was take the FJD CA added 2 rear arc phasers closing the blind spots, 2 point defense phasers, a multiroll drone rack and convert the auxillary reactor into a auxiliary warp reactor.

Poi - The FJD DN only has a Shuttle bay in the front with a second smaller dish pointed out the back.

RUN TONY RUN!!" I can hear the Griswald taking off from here.

(sigh) No Griswolds for finding mistakes. Posting in a hurry does that to me and I cannot proofread my own writing unless time has passed.

Besides, maybe it was Freudian -- it'd take me a week to look through the things and have a chance of saying anything other than the name of the empire that produced the ship! (That's better than when I started and all I could say was, "This is one of our lovely pewter miniature starships. It would be a good addition to your collection. What empire is it? Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm .... STEVE! Come help this gentleman, please!" :D

[Edited to add what type of ship it is.]

I like it - a couple of comments though (aside from your own).

1) The lower engine strut - I think I'd prefer it to sweep right back on the rear side, not cut back forwards. Maybe also making it less thin where it meets the boom so that it would be more sturdy might be an idea, but not sure on the last part.

2) Like the more upright pose than the D7 - it looks a bit more alert.

The Federation Command Cruiser (CC) is up on the BBS and FC Forum. I will add it to ADB's page on Facebook over the weekend.

SVC wrote: The plan was to some day do something that could be the CC and something else that could be the CB. I am really not sure which Matthew intended Sandrine to create, but I for one think that this could be the CC. (If rejected, minor tweeks will turn it into a CB). I do not think that there is "enough more mass" to cause issues with the SSD and both ADB and Mongoose really WANT a unique specific CC that is different enough to be worth doing.

Yeah, I could see a CA being refitted to that ship... got my approval, pending the usual weapons placement analysis...

Ooh ooh ooh!

The 'probably CC' is not quiet as smashing as the prvious attempt - but is still really nice and does seem to address the comments about it being 'too different' - that relaly looks like a refit!

And the C8 is nice - its picked up a bit of elegance it sort of lacked in pewter!

*cheers*

Jean - Thanks!

(And hopefully without my terrible, terrible spelling - I was *that* excited by the new pictures obviously!)

This has got me happy, new trek stuff, Matt any foam trays in the works for the ships?

If I remember There was some Klingon designed ships in Romulan fleet

The Federation Federation Chicago-class New Heavy Cruiser (NCA) (take 2), is up on the BBS and FC Forum. I will add it to ADB's page on Facebook over the next 24 hours.

Shadow Queen - Yes in the Star Fleet Universe the Klingons sold the Romulan quite a number of thier second hand ships to act as a bridge between the old Non Tatical Warp "Eagle" series and the newly built sleek modern "Hawks" ships they built leading into the General War. How far Mongoose will go "Romulazing" Klingon Ships is anyones guess at ths point.
