Just a clarification here, acording to the rules fighters count as ships for most purposes now, does that include scout rules:

1) If a scout 'redirects fire' at a target can fighters benefit from this and reroll one of their weapons against said target?

2) Can a scout redirect fire or lower stealth vs a flight of fighters (I cant see any reason why not though it is probably rather overkill for a single flight of fighters (but of course if youve killed all ships and are just left with mopping up fighters or if theyre the only things hittable with redirectable weapons and so on then theres not really any reason NOT to do it :P)

3) Lastly if you DID for whatever reason lock up a fighter flight, could you choose to redirect your antifighter weapons and reroll that? (Id guess no personally since its not a 'weapon' per se but thought it worth asking still!)

In reference to points 1 and 2, as I asked Matt at the tourney yesterday about counting fighters as ships.

He said fighters are ships unless the rules say different. And like he always chants in times of stress at tourneys, "Play the rules as written"

Don't misquote me Burger, that's not nice.

I quoted what Matt said quite accurately, you think differently, you atate it as your own opinion not mine. :P

Anyone else caught misquoting other people's posts will get spanked by the powers of the moderators. Oh yes.

LOL. Just LOL. I didn't think moderators were supposed to dish out "official warnings" for personal reasons, at what is quite obviously a JOKE. It even has the wink smiley.

On a related question, if a fighter is involved in a dogfight within 2" of a ship with the anti-fighter trait, can that fighter be shot? After all, there have been several arguments that anti-fighter is not a weapon, it is a trait that simply acts on a fighter.

No it can't, it says so in the Anfi-Fighter section on page 28.
