A Technical Architecture

Mongoose
...for building vehicles, starships, and yes, even equipment, for every Mongoose Sci-Fi game.

A unified system, so the stuff you build can be exported to other Mongoose games.

A table-driven system, so I don't have to get out my spreadsheet.

A relatively simple system that thinks in terms of playability, so I don't have to think in megajoules or kilograms.

OK, maybe that's a pipe dream.

That would be something akin to the Classic Traveller technical supplements (Book 3: Starships, High Guard, Striker, Book 8: Robots), the basic T4 technical rules or the T20 design system.

Seeing as T5 is coming, your wishes might just be granted.

I'm at the two extremes on this. For games like D20 and RQ then I just throw some stats together and go with it. Sometimes my geeky spreadsheet self likes to wallow pointlesslt in the Guns! Guns! Guns! and VDS of BTRC.

Cheers
Mark

BTRC's EABA: Stuff! is simpler, and more capable, than VDS. Not quite as universal, but good enough an example.

T20 is likewise good. (And Mongoose Guys: Hunter is willing to talk to you about the design rules in T20.)
