A probably silly question about the "maximum Warp Now" order

and interaction with planets.

I'm wondering if the gravity well of a planet would prevent a ship from using Maximum Warp Now while inside said gravity well. The rules don't address it one way or the other.

From a strictly sci-fi perspective, I would think it would be rather hazardous to go to Warp while inside the gravity well.

Tactical Warp around Planets yes but full Dash Warp like what the Maximum Warp Now is never used in SFB. The Fluff is if you went to Dash Warp near something that could shoot you they only have to hit you for one point of Damage to cause you Warp Bubble to catastrophically collapse and shred your ship.

That being said, the Maximum Warp Now SA must be the upper most thresh hold for Tatical Warp and this means it could be used in the middle of battle or near a planet. Also fluff wise yoo could say at this speed targeting computers can't keep up with the lag that is why it is not used all the time in combat.

No rules that say you can't use it in a gravity well and for simple game purposes, I'm not sure why it would even be necessary to have arule that prevents it.

In the absence of an official rule either way, I'm going to say it's likely okay to do.

Not likely to come up that often anyways.
