2nd Ed Vorchan query

Since the fleet lists are apparently available to those people who've been to that con last weekend, I am really curious about the stats for the 2nd Ed Vorchan. Asides from assurances it is worth taking now does anyone have more details on the classic. It was my fav' Centauri ship from the show and I am eagerly looking forward to running them again.

What's the plasma accelerator like? Also TW/DD. I am actually looking forward to running a dakka rather than beam fleet. I find Dakka somehow more fun.

no one got fleet lists but there are some ships in the rulebook. plasma is SAP DD.

Vorchan is in the basic rulebook - twice (different sections).

it is fast with great guns very dakka!

from what I understand no one got fleet books

How far off am I Just curious?

its damage is 19/5
its still speed 14 but agile so can turn at 1/4 move and its also atmospheric for strafing those dirty narns hiding on worlds

If you want a more survivable version but still full of Dakka - try the Demos

Mmmmm, I have the remains of a fleet box I broke open to fulfill a few orders...about 6 Vorchans and 2 Centurions.

Maybe stick A Maximus or two (but I am bias) with your strike squadrons - helps keep them alive (S+P info) and a Balvarian carrier rather tha Centurion

Well what I really really wanted to run with my Centauri since I first got into ACTA was a primus with 4 Vorchans and some fighters. Iconic Centauri. With the orginal list it was possible and successful but with its downgrading in Sky Full of Stars it became a lame duck. This tended to mean I had to run fleets counter to the show to really have success with it. No idea what possessed them to downgrade it anyway given it was well balanced compared to silly things like the beardy maximus from 1 ed.

But Now I can have my Primus and a Vorchan pack so I am very very happy.
Now we play the waiting game....

well the rulebook does have primus and vorchans in
so its possible to run from that.
