2 ed previews

I think border art is one of the worst things (in a personal list of many) D&D 3.0 perpetrated upon the gaming world. All of that space used to be filled up by text. From the preview, this book looks to be an even worse culprit.

I also immediately thought of a dwarf when I saw the Nordheimer on the cover. It’s a little disconcerting. Overall, I think I prefer the original.

As a rule of thumb you can tell that 50% of the Atlantean Edition's space was taken up by artwork, and the other 50% is text. All the text - minus one or two chapters - fitted in nicely in the pocket edition sans artwork.
However, I can't say I mind very much.

Hmmmm, is it just me or does 2ed seem very very similar to the first. From the preview I can't see any real changes except for a few added maneuvers and spells. I hope they fix some of the balance problems that annoyed me about the first edition...
