Didn't the 1st Ed. ACTA have hex map optional rules to begin with? I could be wrong but I remember my friend offering this to us when we first demoed the game.
Hex maps is a little more exact than free movement based games- helps with people with shaky hands or prevents cheaters from 'nudging'...
The guys mentioned earlier (Ripple, Davesaint, Prelude to War) are regulars at Games Plus and are currently playing a B5:ACTA campaign.

For the most part it seems that way. I only compared the EA ships and only a few of the ships were equal in value, the rest were significantly higher- $2-4US increase.
The biggest ripoff I saw was the Avenger: 9.95(AOG) versus 17.95(price)

I agree with Da Boss in improving the current stats. I'd also, however like the idea of using the B5 Wars medium fighter as a new separate unit for the shadows.
Very nice! Great color scheme! You did an awesome job! After looking at your fleet the Marathon is starting to grow on me. I might just pick it up... thanks a lot hiff... more minis to paint.
Right now, I have the following on my table:
10 Skaven gutter runners (half are almost done. need to finish basing)
1 Vorlon heavy cruiser (primed)
1 Babylon 5 space station (primed) not sure if I want to paint this yet... may hold off and jump to another mini... I do a lot of that :lol...

I was in the same position and I ended up with Shadows. Number one reason was and still is the look for me. In terms of game play I would actually think they are the easiest to play for a number of reasons:
