For a good discuession on who was the biggest and baddest battleship of WWII.
Bismarck was an interesting mix of good and bad design ideas- for the 30s, with the conditions they faced, not a bad ship. Fog was expected to be a significant tactical...
Hyperion AC doesn't carry any fighters.
3rd Age fleet gets
Hermes 1
Hyperion 1
Nova 4
Omega 4
advenger 8
5 point raid average fleet has 12-16 fighters
Crusade gets
hermes 1
hyperion/delphi 1
marathon 2
omega 4
You will be lucky to have half the fighters at a 5 point raid compared to a 3rd...
My intent in making it weak in weaponry was to justify the skirmish level, and to represent it isn't a true military hull. Its essentially a mass producable hanger with engines, with some AF weaponry and nothing else.
Considering 6 wings of fighters for the same PL cost; perhaps it should have...
reading the EA fluff, original thinking was to merge carrier functions with the base cruiser/destroyer; resulting in the omega and nova series of ships. Decent weapons, hull, and good fighter supports.
Crusade moves more towards the bigger end of ships- the new ships carry alot less fighters...
Pound for pound the hyperion is twice as effective as an omega. A handful of hull points more, two less fighters and worse secondaries for twice the SAP, DD Beams.... and since the bore beam is 90% of the real damage an Omega deals out, hyperions are excellent.
Only real problem is the range-...
Mongoose took the chronos, made it a replacement olympus, and upped to raid.
What if it was a replacement Artemis?
Knock the secondaries down a few dice, lose the twin linked and knock back down to skirmish?
EA crusade has delphi and hyperions for raids; but just a hyperion AC for skirmish.
On a side note, I noticed a funny misprint on the Warlock
The rear railgun should have 4 AD, not 20.
I'd like 20... but its not :)

Any chance of the SFOS warlock getting a card? Locally, I'm using that one rather then the Armageddon.
the problems that I have seen is that it can end up being a joke; and that it rewards extroverts over introverts.
To often in Gw style tournaments, people will max out the soft scores of their opponent, and let their opponent know that... on the expectation that they will do the same.

What is interesting is the different views of the lapland war from the German and Finnish sides.
From the finish side it was a pretty nasty episode where the Germans inflicted significant damage to some villages etc.
Germans viewed it as their former allies betraying them, and a series of...

Technically however that attacking fighter attempting to attack the CAP can be attacking the ship- thus sucking up the intercept.
The CAP intercept isn't optional.
