Yet another Campaign Guide delay

To Whom It May Concern(chiefly people who work for Mongoose):

Yet again I receive notice from Amazon that the Campaign Guide is delayed another 2-3 weeks. Yeah it's a ballpark estimate but you get my drift. What gives? I understand that publishing, like art, is not always an exact science. I understand that things change and there needs to be some revisions. This Product was originally supposed to ship in May (according to Amazon) and the ship date keeps changing. I have already pre-ordered this book. What's going on?

While I don't presume to speak for Mongoose, I can tell you a little about what goes on at Amazon. The Campaign Guide has been delayed. I am not aware of a new release date being released. However, I am willing to guess that it is going to be longer than 2-3 weeks. I do know that Amazon "strings people along" (for lack of a better term). Since most delays for books are in the 2-3 week range, they just assume that that is all it is going to be and tell their customers that, even if they do not have information that a delay will be 2-3 weeks. They will still feed their customers that line, hoping that it will stop you from looking to see if it is available elsewhere. As long as they still get your money, they will say pretty much anything.

In short, don't trust what Amazon says.
