Wrath Of The Ancients - Questions - SPOILERS

So after receiving my hardback copy of Wrath I've started to work my way through it - around a quarter of the way in and it looks intriguing but there's one aspect of the start of this part of the campaign that's confusing me. Perhaps the forums can help?

The Cold Moon chapter relates how the Travellers have a dream experience that thrusts them into a situation on an alien spaceship. This allows the players some agency to investigate the situation and gives them access to a new ship.

And then next chapter...

Suddenly the Travellers have arrived in-system in their own ship having to dodge debris from a space battle.

I'm really confused on how these two situations hang together and how I'm supposed to run this.

What I figured is when they fall unconscious and before they wake up on the cold moon, they have traveled a while just do not remember the part to where they are (as things were happening to them) and after they get access to the new ship, they have few more jumps to go get to where the debris is located at. I looked at where they were when they fall unconscious and where they needed to go and tried to find a location around halfway in between and that is where the cold moon was located.

On the cold moon they learn about the location with the debris as to where they should go to next.
