Wonderwood

So, an intriguing place name, but no information on it! At least, I can't find anything on it in the Second Age main book. There are some brief mentions online about fantastic beasts and guardian beast spirits. Anyone got anything more on Wonderwood? It's the first thing that two of my players asked about, and I was a bit stumped!

Wonderwood features strongly in the scenarios set in Saug that I am writing for 'Living Glorantha'.
Having seen some of Greg Stafford's old maps of the area at the last Continuum has certainly given me some great ideas to use.
