Wolverine assembly

I picked up a new wolverine fast cruiser, and the nacelle stems do not fit into the hull. The stem is too big for the hole by a lot. Also, the saucer doesn't fit properly in the hull either. Has anyone else had this problem?

After further comparison to my other ships it seems that I received a strike cruiser hull. Is this the hull that is supposed to come with the wolverine?

No it should be a CA hull.

Mine came with a battlecruiser hull. Having compared the saucer with all the other hulls in the fleet box, it didn't match up with any of them, so I think it's meant to have its own hull type instead.

The best bet is to get in touch with Mongoose regarding it - they're a good bunch and will no doubt get you the correct hull sorted out. Besides, they can't do anything to stop such hiccups in the system if they aren't told about them in the first place.

I had issues with one of my Fed CA as well. The hole to put the pylons in weren't as deep or as sharply edged as was needed. It took alot of digging out material and shaving the pylons before I was able to epoxy them (superglue gel wasn't hardening, I guess the fit was not tight enough).

I think it is a CS hull as I examined the nacelles against the CA hull as well and the Wolverine nacelles fit the CA hulls even worse. Just doing a quick MK1 eyeball, it looked as if the CF pylons would fit with fairly minimal filing on the included hull. I did not check the fit on the saucer.

It's secondary hull is unique to the Fast Cruiser (same size as the CA but with a different weapons fit and a shorter "neck").

Thanks all for the response. I sent Mongoose an email shortly after the original posting and they quickly replied that a replacement was being sent.

The Wolverine saucer and hull are unique to it as far as I know. The point at which the neck and saucer meet are not the same configuration as the Constitution's: the Wolverine's 'neck' has two (or three?) round bumps that have matching indentations in the saucer section. The Wolverine's nacelles are a good 1/5th longer than standard nacelles as well. The Constitution's neck has a single long bar to line up with a bar-shaped indent on the saucer.

So if your Wolverine parts do not have those characteristics, then you do have the wrong parts. Hopefully this helps you (and others) get it all sorted out.
