Look up dazzle camouflage.

The striped scheme is actually a Narn attempt at stealth. It didn't work very well. Mind you, that's partly because most of the time what they were facing were Shadow ships, and Shadows get a +1 to beat stealth. :lol:

See these ancients aren't stupid why Dazzle in space when a perfectly good black with the occasional white dot works great,(as long as you stay still and forget any scanning techs). :lol:

Now if I ever get around to painting my VAS fleet then I can safely say you will be dazzled with the result. 8)

There is also the alternative of painting your ships in such a riot of colours and patterns that the human mind, at least, is so horrified by its appearance that it refuses to see it.

yep - either classic and stylish black like the Shadows 8)

or horrible eye seering sickly blends of organic colours like the Vorlons :wink:
