Which ships are getting a resculpt for 2e?

I was hoping that the G'Quan might get a resculpt, as while the detail is still good the figure looks like it went under a steam press and got flattened. Not the solid looking warship I remember from the series.

It's not a big thing, and there are certainly worse molds out there, however it is the most recognisable ship in the narn fleet so should look good

I agree about the mounting point for the Vorchan - although not had any problems with the ships themselves, they are really nice :D and you have to drill new holes anyway with all MGP ships so the suggestd point doesn't matter that much i suppose!

For those with the facility to do so, drilling your own holes is better anyway. It means you can position the ship climbing or diving, or banking, or all of the above. Can give a ship a visual distinctiveness which is both useful on the table and pleasing to the eye.

So with the different sizes, do we get variant stats to match? The Olympus and Super Olympus...kind of like the Hornet and Super Hornet fighter craft?

I suggested that a while back, and got roundly abused for doing so...still think is's a good idea, tho. The larger mini could continue to use the 'Hull 4, Damage 28 et.c' stats from SFoS. Olympic class obsolete heavy cruiser? Supplanted by the Hyperion, but still in service during The Early Years.

I bought a pair of Hyperions (my 7th and 8th, EAS Medusa and Arethusa) a couple of weeks ago, and the castings were OK, much better than two years ago.

The AoG-era Hyperion model itself has never been very accurate - the nose should be vertical rather than raked, and the engine nacelle's top ought to be level with the spine. And fitting the stand is a challenge.

I'd agree the G'Quan needs a makeover - rumour has it that the hull got 'snubbed' because the original casting was too long to fit in the AoG packaging - and also the T'Loth. I honestly don't think the side hulls are meant to 'toe in' towards the stern, should they not be parallel?
