Which race is

dont forget the Soul Hunters... Vorlons have a problem interfacing with younger races computers where as the Shadows interface nicely with other computers.

So Shadows are older than the Vorlons even tho they use eggs to incubate their young and the Vorlons it seams have lost the capasaty to reproduce.

Firstly:

erm soul hunters arent first ones. They may be old but theyre not THAT old.

Secondly:

Where is this 'Vorlons cant reproduce' thing from, never seen it anywhere so is just speculation.

Thridly:

Shadow 'Eggs'? Source? If your refering to the 'pods' the drakh use on the centauri ships in season 5 thats just organic tech.... if not, then I have no idea where your getting that from....

Scrabbled egg anyone?

I find it hard to believe they have problems interfacing with younger races whats your basis for this? They backwords compatible Technology for other races to add to there ships but they can't use a pc? yeah it's probably because they wouldn't buy a license from Microsoft!

They did send Mr. Morden to talk to Bill Gates. But he got totally confused, when he couldn't find a good enough answer to "where do you want to go today?"

When Morden asked what do you want, Bill gates said for everyone to stop hating me.

Morden's reply was, "After Vista get real." "Three paths are open to you; kill everyone."

"Erm who would I sell my shitty software to? and the 2nd?"

"Kill yourself."

"Mmm nah and the 3rd?"

"Kill Bob."

Negotiations ended at that point

Darkness and Light vorlon and shadow fact book

IIRC, the Kirishiac Lords are the youngest of the shown 1st 1s, and last of the true 1st 1s (according to AOG's War of the Ancients)

The beings from Epsilon3 and soul hunters are not 1st 1s, but the Kirishiacs are because their growth was not influenced directly(or something like that) by the others... Okay, perhaps Lorien's race but not the other 1st ones.

In a nutshell, they are distinctive and original enough in style and principle to be considered 1st 1s.

Then again, that's from my memory of bits and pieces of War of the Ancients I read. The "IIRC" clause is my defense ^_^

well we have seen that vorlons can kind of split themselves, hence a part of Kosh remaining in Sheridan. Could vorlons reproduce that way?

we never really found out what part of Kosh was in Sheridan, was it just residual power?, knowledge?
if a vorlons splits itself does its knowledge split, it would then be like having two vorlon children and trying to teach them anew

@ Hiff:
that's a very intriguing hypothesis. I personally think it was some residue that even Kosh did not know will get transfered to Sheridan when he (Kosh) was dying..

What Kosh said before he sent a Vorlon fleet to destroy some Shadow vessels indicated that he knew the Shadows will retaliate, and that he was going to die that night.

So maybe it's a Vorlon version of restless spirit posession, since a compatible telepath (ie Lyta Alexander) was unavailable at the time.

Reproducing by fission? Why not? Not as much fun as the other way but.... ;)

Well, it would explain why the "New Vorlon Ambassador" was also called "Kosh"

Maybe it's like DNA that way: You split so many times then some inaccuracies get into the code and create eccentricities. In DNA, those tend to become genetic disorders or cancer. In Vorlons, maybe it just causes them to be mean...

Or maybe the first Kosh was the eccentricity...
