Which is the tougher Klingon Fleet?

I'm playtesting another battle vs the Federation tonight. I'm looking to build the meanest, leanest, and toughest Klingon fleet possible.

For 1000pts, which of these fleets seems the best?

6x D-6
F-5
=1000pts

4x D-6
2x D-7C
=1000pts

5x D-6
C-7
=990pts

For an experiment in departing from the D-6's I'm planning on trying this fleet as well soon...

D-5W
4xD-5
D-6
=995

Personally, I think these fleets are about as scary as the Klingons can get. I do really beleive that the D-6 is the best priced cruiser considering the weaponry you get on it. It's great at dancing away and firing from long ranges...and it's the cheapest "4xDisrupter, 2xDrone" that you can get.

After being frustrated with the Federation Dreadnought at this point level in straightup fights w/o objectives...I'm going to try this totally imbalanced but powerful Federation fleet....

BCH
2xBCJ
3xFFB.

Lemme know what you think the toughest Klingon fleet for them to go up against will be.

Can't say which is the toughest - just don't have the experience and I try to offer opinions that I have some idea about, BUT I faced 4 x D6's (and a D7) in a game last week and they were tough to pin down. I found they were manoeuvrable and, provided they kept face on, they were pretty tough (certainly at this level of game). They also had the initiative every turn (due to dice throws or superior numbers) so could invariable get good firing lanes. However, when I did get shots to the side and rear, they suffered quite badly and, due to the single die Boost Shields roll, recovering shields was a definite problem.

Good luck!

Obviously - the meanest, leanest Klingon fleet is the one wot beats 'is opponents!

apparently, there are some GW orks as slaves on THIS particular Klingon vessel.

How very dare you!

That was a (slightly) Kipling-esque moment (good Klingon name - that). 8)

I believe the comment may have been made by the Captain of the D7 "Wrath of Kunga-Din" - Kommi, son of Katkins of the house of Kipling!!

(The ship was also called "Kunga-Din's Revenge" for unknown reasons - before the cook was replaced!).....
