What other figures would you like to have?

Swedes! Swedes! I wanna see Swedes!

Seriously though; swedes!

I can't really think of anything else really at the moment. Scandinavian forces overall would be cool. Maybe a Scandinavian union?

I'd settle for Swedish Meatballs (Breen!)

Uhh, you want to fight wars with meatballs? Good food and all, but not all to sure they work well to shoot someone with :?

Well you have to freeze them first...

Kristovich, Meatballs have gone to war before, but they were painted on the aircraft of Imperial Japan in WW2.

I've wondered if Mongoose has plans for weapon teams for BFevo. I can envision a USMC 40mm grenade launcher team or some type of recoiless rifle for the MEA. Weapons on a larger base crewed by 2 to 3 troopers.

A MEA Technical mounting a 73mm recoiless rifle like the SPG-9 produced by Iran: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SPG-9 . It could even be a limitted edition mini.

How about a Techincal with a ground mounted AA gun mounted on the rear?

MEA armed with Stinger or smiliar shoulder launched AA weapon

NAAFI Tea Truck,

Or Herman the German, Bratty wagon from Soltau

Red meatballs? Not cooked then

The FMAAC will do the work (Frozen Meatball Anti-Air Cannon)!

That would be correct!

Yup, then we have the FMATL (Frozen Meatball Anti-Tank Launcher).

And the FMAS (Frozen Meatball Assault Rilfe), the FMMG (Frozen Meatball Machine Gun).

Gotta love the FM series!

For the heavy artillery, you might include the frozen chicken gun from the various urban legend e-mails that float around sometimes.
For those that haven't heard of this yet, here is a link-

Hmm, maybe this should be moved over to the "What Should Mongoose Publish Next?" forum and make it the basis for an entire game. I have the title for it as well. We'll call it "Food Fight" .

I'd go for that!

Yeah, the FC (frozen chicken) series for the artillery.

What about the really big guns? Like bombs and such?

Maybe an FO (Frozen Ox) series?

I'd say "FF series" for Frozen Fowl . That covers the entire category so you can have higher calibers such as Turkeys, etc. For the really big artillery, I'd use Elephants and call them "Dumbos". The difference between HE and AP rounds would be whether the ammunition was frozen or thawed when used. Oxen are fine too, but I'd say Elephants for the really heavy stuff. Btw, what was this topic about? Oh well, it still fits under the general category of "Battlefield Evolution" I suppose.

I've been lurking here for awhile, but I wanted to add my $0.02. I know it's been discussed earlier in this thread, but I would like to add my vote for Canadian troops:

Canadian Light Infantry
LAV-III
JTF-2 Commando team
Leopard C2 tank

The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of bringing in Japanese forces. Sure, they're a "defense force," but they've recently sent assets in support of OIF, among other missions. And there's even been talk of modifying the constitution to allow them to send actual military units to missions outside their borders. Can't remember where that's at right now.

Aussies!! Ether as a Ally for the US or EU

Think about it

Australian Infantry (with F88A4, F89 Minimi, ACIW)
Australian SASR Patrol
Australian Tiger ARH
Australian ASLAV 25
Australian M1A1

that would be awesome!

Yeah, maybe Kim Jong-il will see that modern wargames are once again starting to include military forces from Japan and then think twice about testing rockets over the Sea of Japan. I'd like to see a wargame be praised for helping to bring about world peace, lol.

As this game is supposed to be in the near-future, maybe Mongoose is considering adding the JSDF to the list of future releases. I've even got the new motto for the Japanese Delf-Defense Force: "The new JSDF- The best defense is a good offense" :D .

This might give you a charge:

I'd give anything to see a release for the Canadian Forces.

I've always wanted to play my own country in a wargame. As opposed the the usual, "well just the the British Army list."

I would like to have produced, a load of civilians, old people, mums with prams, kids, injured and dead etc, your typical displaced persons.

No I am not a sicko, just where ever I have been these lot always turn up, especially in cleared areas and guaranteed to mess up the mission.

I know its only "Toy Soldiers" according to the wife, but civy's add a bit of FOW to the game....but please no no ZOMBIES !!
