What is your fave Judge prestige class for a player judge ?

i am looking forward for your choices or comments about the "why"

i know i "forgot" sector chief and holocaust squad...but i think you can't play these in a normal group of (street) judges.

yeah....i love them too but as u mentioned..."unplayable" for a group

with the exception of a player group of old ex-judges on their long walk through cursed earth / undercity

but it could be a nice scenario with some parallels to the film...the group of player judges take the long walk because someone made up some false evidence for a crime. outside the city walls they have to survive some scenarios (and may take the Long Walk Judge prestige class) and find a way to erase their crime records with the real evidence. climax would be the showdown with some real bad motherfucker of MC-1

in the Cursed Earth variant you have to modify the Undercity Long Walk Judge prestige class.....but that is obvious i think :wink:

I'm not voting because one of the fundamental problems with the D20 version was the prestige classes, in my opinion. They just didn't feel right, same as the prior lives felt all wrong. I don't know what the answer is, but I didn't like the way it works, so I wasn't attached to any of the prestige classes.

Don't get me wrong, the game is great, and I'm still looking forward to the 2nd Ed, whenever that happens, but I really hope such things are handled differently next time around.

Then may I propose this suggestion? Change the entry requirements to something a Judge can get at third level (sort of like Modern's advanced classes with 6 skill ranks.) That way they at least get their specialist distinction alot sooner (sort of like being able to take on special training after the Judge proves he can handle the basic responsiblities of maintaing a beat.) Of course, this only makes sense with certain specialites like Tek and Med Judges (Holocaust squads should be a lot more experienced by their very nature.)
