Skelos is mentioned in "Queen of the Black Coast" and "Black Colossus", IIRC. It was likely some ancient sorceror.
Also in "Pool of the Black One":
"In the west, unknown of man,
Ships have sailed since the world began.
Read, if you dare, what Skelos wrote,
With dead hands fumbling his silken coat;
And follow the ships through the wind-blown wrack -
Follow the ships that come not back.

There also was a Sword of Skelos book written by Andrew J. Offiut (sp?). I never read the book. Apparently, this Skelos guy was an innovator of the early hyborian copyright paten. :lol:
Vathelos the Blind and his six iron bound books are also mentioned in "Pool'. He was probably Skelos' biggest competitor for most awesome magic book(s) in the Hyborian Age. Of course, the human skin bound books of Tsotha-lanti (Scarlet Citadel) were also worthy.
